Julekake or Christmas Bread is a seasonal necessity and favorite. A moist cake like bread that contains citron and cardamom. It is not as heavy as German or other fruitcakes and hence truly is a bread. Ours contains bits of citron, lemon, and orange adding just enough citrus flavor to a delicious cardomom dough. A kind of Pulla or Swedish Cardomom braid but without the braid and with fruit.
